So after receiving my full line up of PW products a week ago... i finally decided to tackle a detail with full paint correction. Sorry no before photos, didnt think i was gonna do a write up on this but the results were amazing.
Car is a Black Sapphire Metallic 2007 BMW 335i Coupe w/ about 90k miles.
First visual inspection showed a good amount of swirls and scratches. A few deep scratches and a half dozen bird etching stains.
1. xxxxxx Wheel Cleaner on dry wheels. Agitated with a Wheel Brush and rinsed off.
2. PW APC sprayed onto wheel well and scrubbed down with boar's hair brush.
3. PW SSS in a foam gun as a pre-soak
4. PW SSS using a dual bucket system for primary wash using PW CMF Mitt
5. Metro Vac N Blo to blow off excess water.
6. PW Waffle Weave to finish drying.
7. Clay Barred entire car with PW Clay & PW S&W (diluted 2:1)
8. PW SSR2.5 with Yellow Cut Pad on Hood and Trunk Lid x2 (major swirls & scratches & bird etching)
9. IPA wipedown after each SSR2.5 section
10. PW SSR1 with White Polish Pad on Entire Car x2 (minor swirls & scratches on side body panels)
11. IPA wipedown after each SSR1 section
12. PW PP with White Polish Pad on Entire Car
13. IPA wipedown after PP
14. PW BH with Blue Finishing Pad on Entire Car
15. Buffed out using PW DMT
16. PW Natty's Red (hand applied using Red Wax applicator pad)
17. Buffed out using PW DMT
