Help I'm Streaking Out!

I used Trim Restorer on the bumbers and trim of my 2000 Range Rover...looked really awesome - like brand new...and then it rained...and my joy turned to shock, as my bumpers are now streaked with grey...

talked to Poorboys and learned I had used too much TR and needed cotton rather than microfiber to polish....

Problem is there are now grey streaks where the product ran off...and I am unable to wash away these streaks...and I'm about to streak out!
I can't be the only one this has ever happened to...

Please help...

THANK YOU!

So, you have tried to re-apply? Or have you just washed it? I would try to re-apply it, smooth it out, then, once it has had some time to "set" I'd buff off any excess. This might even it out.

Tried A Re-application

I tried reapplying TR. I used a foam brush and used very, very little...a very thin coat...I waited about an hour and then went back with a cotton towel and buffed vigorously...

AND it still looks AWFUL...grey streaks that look like running paint.

I'm not one to complain, SO, I'll just say TR DID NOT WORK for me.

I am now looking for a way to get back to where I started...a little dull but not streaked.

give us a call for a sample of some APC .. it will get you back where you started so you can try again

this may or may not help you but I have found a little trick when using TR.

using too much is the first thing you don't want to do as you pointed out.

Secondly, pending the condition of what you are working with, it usually takes 3 applications done this way below:

1st layer, apply and allow to dry, then buff. Dry times depends on weather, application etc. I usually wait 30 min.
2nd layer, same as above.
3rd layer, same as above if needed.

If you are not seeing any difference before the 3rd application, that is about as good as you are going to get it. TR is a great product but it cannot turn water to wine, sorry.

I would be interested in seeing what you are working with.

Take PB up on the APC, and start over. I think you will have better results.

Cheers
